Iron Maiden star sells his Essex home (pub included!)

Steve Harris, the bassist of arguably the biggest heavy metal group in history, is selling his 11 bedroom mansion in Sheering, Essex for £3,950,000.

The sprawling property, which dates back to 1427, has been owned by Harris since the 1980’s and boasts all the home comforts to keep a rock star happy. Sheering Hall comes complete with a tennis court, indoor pool with gym area, and a full sized football pitch which we’re sure avid football fan Steve spent many an hour kicking the ball around.

However, perhaps the most impressive feature of the grade II listed pad, is the fully equipped pub on the ground floor. Named the Horse and Cart, the bar includes ales on tap, bar stools and a pool table – how rock and roll is that!?

The 11,000ft2 home sits on 9 acres of land and is reached through a private gated entrance (a must for celebrities!) and via a sweeping gravel driveway. Once inside, the property is ornately decorated to compliment the exposed beams and open fireplaces.
