Be on TV – BBC’s Britain’s Empty Homes

Vacant Britain – 1,000,000 Empty Properties across the UK

Abandoned properties or dream homes? There are almost a million empty properties across the UK crying out for members of the public to take them on and renovate them. 350,000 are long term empties, meaning they have been empty for more than six months. In England alone 720, 416 percent of the total number of properties are empty.

BBC One’s Daytime show, Britain’s Empty Homes, produced by Ricochet (a Shed Media company) shows viewers how to unlock the potential of these abandoned buildings, revealing ways in which they can be brought back into use and transformed into dream homes.

With presenter Joe Crowley, the series offers invaluable advice for viewers looking to rescue a house for themselves and features ambitious renovations and inspirational transformations. With series four now in production, the team is on the lookout for house hunters and first time renovators to bring down the level of empty homes across the nation.
