What can you buy for the average asking price in every region?

This month, we’ve seen the national average asking price of a home jump up to a record high of £344,445, with more people looking to move than there are homes for sale.

So if you’re one of the many potential home-movers searching for your next property right now, what does this mean for where you’re looking to live?

Average asking prices vary hugely across Britain. In fact, the gap between the most expensive region in Britain, which is London – and the cheapest region – currently the North East, is now more than £480,000.

So we’ve taken a closer look at every region to find homes you can buy for the average asking price in each location – as well as how long it’s taking homes to sell. Take a look.
