NHS hero Dr Alex George reveals his dream home

If you could live anywhere in the world, in any kind of home, what would you choose?

It’s a question we ask ourselves daily and, being honest, the answer seems to vary by day of the week and weather. Some days we’re dreaming about old stone farmhouses deep in the Cotswolds, imagining the good life of countryside walks, wellies and farm shops. Other days we find ourselves hankering for Grand Designs-esque architectural feats complete with staircases so good you end up drooling over your keyboard (we’ve all been there, right?).

Like many of our wonderful NHS workers, Dr Alex George spent much of his Christmas and New Year supporting us all by working long shifts on the A&E ward at University Hospital Lewisham (a huge thank you from everyone at Rightmove).

But when Alex isn’t working hard, it turns out he loves a bit of escapism and searching for his dream home just like the rest of us.

So, what does Alex’s dream home look like? Watch to find out…

After buying his first home in 2018, a Clapham flat that required a full renovation, he’s now back in the market for a new property.

Revealing that his dream location would be Richmond (voted 2020’s 10th happiest place to live in the UK), we love that Alex has such a clear view of what his dream property looks like.

Ready to look for your dream home?

Here are some of the tools Alex mentions that can help supercharge your search:

  • Save a property – use it to shortlist and save your favourites
  • Keyword sort – use it to find properties that have specific features you’re looking for
  • Instant Alerts – use it to get notified as soon as matching properties come onto the market
  • Where Can I Live – use it to find areas that are near all the people or places you want to live near

We’d love to see what your dream homes look like!
