Five beautiful beachside homes from around the world

In the depths of winter, as temperatures drop to their lowest, many of us begin to cast our minds toward the warmth of springtime.

But we’ve still got a couple of months to go before we can start thinking of gardening, picnics and BBQs.

If that feels like a long time to you and you could use a little inspiration, here are five spectacular homes around the world that we think will amaze you – all by the seaside and in places where the sun is shining in this very moment!

Mallorca

With an average temperature of 17°C during winter, the Island of Mallorca is an attractive option for those looking for winter sun in Europe.

This £13-million mansion on the southwestern side of the island is a striking modern design, reminiscent of a home you’d expect to see on a Californian hill, or featured on an episode of Selling Sunsets.

It’s just a few steps away from the beach, and so luxurious it’s almost unbelievable.

Almost every room has an amazing view of the sea, and the massive floor-to-ceiling doors and windows make the entire place bright and sunny.

Among the many high-spec features included in this property are the two swimming pools – one indoor and one outdoor. Sometimes one pool just isn’t enough.

Cyprus

At the time of writing this, it is -1°C outside. In Cyprus, it’s 22°C and blue skies.

We can’t help daydreaming about being there right now, and if dreams really did come true, we’d be staying in this modern luxury villa in Peyia.

This is another smart architectural design which optimises natural sunlight and makes the open plan interior feel incredibly spacious.

We love the infinity pool, and can imagine ourselves sitting in it, with a cocktail in hand, watching the sun set into the sea.

Corfu

This property in the Island of Corfu is in a secluded spot on a hill with private access to a beach. If you’ve been to the Ionian Sea before, you know how gorgeous the area is. The views are breath-taking, and the water is crystal-clear, making it perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

The villa, named Anassa, is stunning. It’s been built with local stone, maintaining the character of the area, and that rugged, Greek traditional style.

Hopefully you’ll find that 12 bedrooms are enough for you. And the large, fully-equipped gym, steam room, and cinema should also come in handy.

We think the interiors are elegant and rather romantic. The pastel tones make for a luxurious yet relaxed ambience.

And the views…they are astonishing.

Costa Rica

If you’re leaning more toward a tropical vibe, perhaps something with a Latino twist, allow us to introduce you to this dream home in Tres Rios, Costa Rica.

Sitting on the top of a rainforest mountaintop, surrounded by lush nature, and with ridiculous views of the Pacific Ocean, this lavishly designed home has left us speechless.

The property comes with ten acres of tropical trees and plants, waterfalls, exotic birds, and wildlife, making this a real piece of paradise.

If you’re a lover of wild, untouched nature, this has got to be the place for you. Can you imagine what it must be like to wake up to the sounds of the rainforest, and have your breakfast on that balcony?

Thailand

Thailand is among Europeans’ favourite holiday destinations, and there’s a good reason for that. It’s a place of astounding natural beauty, picture-perfect beaches, exciting food, and lovely people.

We came across this property in Phuket, and have fallen in love with it. Just have a look at it and you’ll see why.

We think it has it all. The views, the interior, the luxury, the space, the style, and the elegance – top marks across the board.

That infinity pool looks spectacular, if a little scary! It blends in with the blue sky and sea in the background and creates a visual that is truly mesmerising.
