Six stately homes fit for Netflix show Bridgerton

It’s one of the most talked about shows on our screens right now, and Bridgerton certainly offers up plenty of amazing homes to accompany all the drama.

If you haven’t seen it yet, the TV adaptation of Julia Quinn’s novels follows the private lives of high society in the 19th century – amidst a backdrop of truly stunning properties.

The show was filmed at various locations across the nation, including in London, Bath, and Yorkshire.

In this article we’ve rounded up six gorgeous stately homes that wouldn’t look out of place on the Netflix show… Enjoy!

Lansdown Crescent

This magnificent Grade I-listed crescent house is nestled in the heart of Lansdown Crescent, an iconic address in the beautiful city of Bath.

Number 17, an elegant eight-bedroom town house, sits towards the western end of the crescent and boasts an abundance of period features including exquisite cornicing, feature fire-places and deep sash windows with original shutters.

The glorious property is on the market for £4.5million and we can definitely imagine Lady Whistledown penning many of her salacious newsletters here.

Village Farm

If Bridgerton ever returns to our screens for a second series, we’d love to see this stunning Georgian mansion make an appearance on the period Netflix drama.

Village Farm is a gorgeous six-bedroom period home that dates all the way back to 1790. It’s set in 20 acres of pristine grounds and is on the market for £2.5million.

The property comes with some wonderful paddocks for horses, boasting a total of seven stables. There is also a fine woodland walk along a stream that runs through the grounds, and there’s even two further cottages – which are run as part of a highly successful holiday business – to boot.

Burgmanns Hill

Tucked away in the Devon countryside, Belvedere is a majestic Georgian mansion that feels like the perfect place for the Duke and Duchess of Hastings to spend the rest of their days.

The Grade II-listed residence, which is up for sale for a cool £5million, is set within 13 acres of gardens and woodland, and perched above the Exe Estuary, has outstanding views of the water.

The oldest part of the house dates from the 17th century, with 18th and 19th century additions, but it also comes with plenty of modern touches, such as a huge indoor swimming pool.

The Mansion

The Mansion at Sundridge Park is an exquisite country house fashioned in the form of a Renaissance temple and set within a sweeping landscape of sculptured gardens and woodland walks.

Having been painstakingly restored and converted, the magnificent mansion provides 22 individual apartments of supreme luxury, of which this two-bedroom duplex apartment is one.

The property will set you back £2million, and with the acclaimed 36-hole Sundridge Park Golf Club on the doorstep, we think it’d be the ideal purchase for Anthony Bridgerton so that he can work through his issues.

Tormarton Court

If any of Bridgerton’s characters are looking to escape the rat race of 19th Century London, then this sprawling country estate is the place they should look to call home.

Tormarton Court is a hugely impressive Grade II-listed Georgian house that radiates charm and character – from the oak staircase with banded mahogany handrail to the alcoves from the early 20th century.

Outside, the renovated former coach house has been transformed into a fully functioning office space, which would be ideal for Eloise to continue her Whistledown investigations.

You’ll find this white, stucco- fronted Regency house in the heart of Little Venice in London and it looks every inch like a Bridgerton-esque property.

The handsome, six-bedroom home is on the market for a shade under £6million and boasts wonderful views across Regents Canal.

The period property is a stylishly modern family home, cleverly mixing original features with the latest interior trends, and the result is a fantastic house that we’d love to move into… if we won the lottery!
