The mansion where Game of Thrones star threw his stag do

He’s a man accustomed to the great fortresses of Westeros but now you can explore the mansion where Jon Snow actor Kit Harington is reported to have had his stag do.

The sprawling 12-bedroom home is on the market for £1.65 million and the charming period property certainly has all the character of a party pad befitting a Stark and Targaryen warrior.

Eriviat Hall near Denbigh is believed to date back to 1467, although the grandiose Welsh mansion’s coach house has been renovated to include a dancefloor and private bar.

Kit, who married Game of Thrones co-star Rose Leslie (who plays wildling Ygritte), is said to have spent two nights at the private manor over the May bank holiday in 2018.

Ygritte famously says that Jon Snow “knows nothing” but Golden Globe nominee Kit obviously knows a thing or two about property after choosing this place as his stag venue.

The impressive dining room boasts large bay windows with beautiful views onto the gardens, while the chairs around the table look like slightly more comfortable versions of the Iron Throne.

Elsewhere, the drawing room – with part panelling – has a large fireplace with a feature log burner and provides access to a conservatory that’s home to an inviting nine-seater hot tub.

The study also has two windows at the front of the property, and another feature fireplace with stone surround – giving it a subtle Blackwater Bay vibe.

But the coach house is where the real fun is to be had.

It’s been converted into a bona fide party building that caters for up to 200 guests. Complete with a dance floor, DJ booth, bar and a dining room, you can imagine this is where Kit might have spent most of his time.

Rightmove’s property expert Miles Shipside said: “Eriviat Hall oozes charm and its rich history is magnificently evident before you even set foot inside.

“But it’s been superbly renovated and transformed into an exclusive party venue fit for a king – or Warden of the North. Surrounded by beautiful parkland and open countryside, it’s easy to see why a household name would choose to host a private party here.”
