Family use part exchange scheme to become next-door neighbours at Telford development
A new mum in Telford has moved in next door to her parents after using Morris Homes’ ‘Part Exchange’ scheme to purchase a property on the housebuilder’s Regents Crescent development.
Caroline Lacey and her husband Wayne wanted to move to a larger property near a good choice of schools and visited Regents Crescent on Marshbrook Way, where they found their dream three-bedroom Dalton home.
To speed up their move, the couple took advantage of Morris’ Part Exchange scheme. The initiative guarantees a buyer as Morris buys the previous property for 100 per cent of its market value.
Caroline’s parents, John and Kath Sharp, had also been planning to move home, and were keen to buy a property at the popular Telford development. They also used the Part Exchange scheme to secure their move into a three-bedroom detached Dunham home at Regents Crescent and, unexpectedly, the Sharps found themselves buying the home next door to their daughter.
Caroline said:
“We had wanted to move to a larger property for some time as, with our new family, we desperately needed more space. Regents Crescent has great access to local amenities and good schools, so it seemed like the perfect place for us to settle.
“It was a real coincidence that my parents had also been interested in purchasing a home at the development, and we were really shocked when we realised that we were going to be living next door to eachother.
“We were all reluctant to get caught up in unreliable property chains, and so when we found out about the Part Exchange scheme, we realised that we would be able to sell our homes without the worry of the buyer pulling out. It’s going to be great living so close to each other, especially with a new baby in the family.”
