Sprawling estates and picturesque hideaways feature in our most-viewed homes of the month. Homes in Wales, England and Scotland made our latest top five roundup, with a cottage in north Powys taking the top spot.

Our property expert, Tim Bannister, says: “From historical estates to country cottages, this month we’ve seen home-hunters drawn to properties that blend heritage and charm, exploring what it might be like to live in a castle, or amid a remote, scenic landscape.”

1. A detached country cottage with picture perfect views in Wales

Offering showstopping views of the surrounding mountain range, this country cottage is found in an elevated spot on the edge of the village of Llangynog.
