Most of the sales in North West over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £251,503. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £178,799 and detached properties averaged at £417,869.
North West, with an overall average price of £252,603, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Yorkshire and the Humber (£243,300), but was more expensive than North East (£198,311) and cheaper than East Midlands (£268,549). The most expensive area within North West was Cheshire (£317,973) and the cheapest was Lancashire (£209,771).
In the past year house prices in North West were similar to the year before and similar to 2022 when they averaged at £247,468.
