North East, with an overall average price of £198,311 was cheaper than nearby North West (£252,603), Yorkshire and the Humber (£243,300) and East Midlands (£268,549). The priciest area within North East was Northumberland (£245,411) and the least expensive was County Durham (£173,555).
During the last year, sold prices in North East were similar to the previous year and similar to 2022 when the average house price was £198,653.
