Last year most property sales in London involved flats which sold for on average £557,610. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £832,992, while semi-detached properties fetched £813,556.
London, with an overall average price of £720,494 was more expensive than nearby South East (£482,063), East of England (£400,354) and East Midlands (£264,952). The priciest area within London was Central London (£1,669,444) and the least expensive was East London (£526,673).
During the last year, sold prices in London were similar to the previous year and 7% up on 2021 when the average house price was £672,140.
