Most of the sales in West Sussex over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £685,897. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £431,743 and terraced properties averaged at £360,205.
West Sussex, with an overall average price of £445,394, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby East Sussex (£428,593), but was more expensive than Hampshire (£392,017) and cheaper than Surrey (£626,151). The most expensive area within West Sussex was Wisborough Green (£1,092,500) and the cheapest was Middleton-On-Sea (£305,982).
In the past year house prices in West Sussex were 3% down on the year before and 4% up on 2021 when they averaged at £427,830.
