Most of the sales in South West over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £542,562. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £294,196 and semi-detached properties averaged at £337,863.
South West, with an overall average price of £364,137 was more expensive than nearby West Midlands (£278,442), but was cheaper than South East (£476,238) and London (£706,744). The most expensive area within South West was Dorset (£403,311) and the cheapest was Devon (£330,261).
In the past year house prices in South West were similar to the year before and 6% up on 2021 when they averaged at £342,850.
