South Wales, with an overall average price of £243,588, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby West Wales (£237,008), but was more expensive than North Wales (£229,981) and cheaper than Mid Wales (£270,320). The most expensive area within South Wales was Monmouthshire (£368,971) and the cheapest was Blaenau Gwent (£155,416).
In the past year house prices in South Wales were similar to the year before and similar to 2022 when they averaged at £239,323.
