Last year most property sales in North Yorkshire involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £253,300. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £218,989, while detached properties fetched £430,570.
North Yorkshire, with an overall average price of £284,281 was more expensive than nearby West Yorkshire (£229,684), East Riding Of Yorkshire (£209,293) and South Yorkshire (£207,953). The priciest area within North Yorkshire was Sandsend (£920,000) and the least expensive was Knottingley (£144,475).
During the last year, sold prices in North Yorkshire were 4% down on the previous year and similar to 2021 when the average house price was £280,576.
