Last year most property sales in London involved flats which sold for on average £549,431. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £815,348, while semi-detached properties fetched £800,920.
London, with an overall average price of £706,744 was more expensive than nearby South East (£476,238), East of England (£397,670) and East Midlands (£264,463). The priciest area within London was Central London (£1,595,457) and the least expensive was East London (£525,874).
During the last year, sold prices in London were 3% down on the previous year and 5% up on 2021 when the average house price was £672,071.
