Most of the sales in Leicestershire over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £259,955. Detached properties had an average sold price of £422,543 and terraced properties averaged at £217,978.

Leicestershire, with an overall average price of £294,144, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Northamptonshire (£304,858), but was more expensive than Nottinghamshire (£251,996) and cheaper than Rutland (£426,010). The most expensive area within Leicestershire was Newtown Linford (£1,513,125) and the cheapest was Earl Shilton (£225,472).

In the past year house prices in Leicestershire were 4% down on the year before and 3% up on 2021 when they averaged at £285,259.
