Most of the sales in East Sussex over the past year were flats which on average sold for £272,513. Detached properties had an average sold price of £607,394 and terraced properties averaged at £412,894.
East Sussex, with an overall average price of £425,113, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Kent (£425,831) and West Sussex (£442,826), but was cheaper than Surrey (£606,344). The most expensive area within East Sussex was Nutley (£1,013,529) and the cheapest was St Leonards Green (£242,496).
In the past year house prices in East Sussex were similar to the year before and 3% down on 2022 when they averaged at £438,707.
