Most of the sales in East Sussex over the past year were flats which on average sold for £269,212. Detached properties had an average sold price of £640,222 and terraced properties averaged at £411,235.
East Sussex, with an overall average price of £428,593, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Kent (£425,334) and West Sussex (£445,394), but was cheaper than Surrey (£626,151). The most expensive area within East Sussex was Frant (£1,546,250) and the cheapest was Poynings (£240,000).
In the past year house prices in East Sussex were 4% down on the year before and 4% up on 2021 when they averaged at £410,731.
