Central Scotland, with an overall average price of £212,117, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Glasgow and Surrounding Areas (£209,433), but was more expensive than South West Scotland (£175,252) and cheaper than Edinburgh and Lothian (£313,664). The priciest area within Central Scotland was Stirling (County) (£272,407) and the least expensive was Dundee (County) (£169,394).
During the last year, sold prices in Central Scotland were similar to the previous year and 27% down on 2007 when the average house price was £292,178.
