Welcome to Acres Estate Agents - Four Oaks Office

Established in 1992

Acres was founded by three highly experienced partners; Nigel Deekes, Michael Weaver and Richard Bakewell.

The partners had been within the property industry for many years and offered a wealth of knowledge and experience having been both regional and area managers for a large multi national group after the sale of a previous successful business.

In recent years Acres has become a family owned business with the partners Nigel & Jayne Deekes now running the company, joined by both Chris and Katie their children Acres now offer a truly bespoke personal service.

Looking where the corporate agencies were, the partners knew that we offered something different for the Sutton Coldfield property market that was missing, a personal proactive service.

Growing steadily and expanding from a new start Acres soon established ourselves as the sales team within the area. Acres bring together property experts and can supply every property need under one roof. There really isn't anything we can't do, from residential sales and lettings, to land sales or acquisition.

Removal of items from a property can prove to be difficult, be that due to distance from the property that a client may live, time, logistics, or volume of items. Acres can arrange for a visit to the property by our well established and regarded house clearance contacts to ascertain any potential value of items and arrange removal, sale or complete clearance if need.

Additional we also have excellent local removal companies that will assist with any move, both locally, or nationally.

ACRES offer an affiliated Lettings service which gives a bespoke property and tenancy management to help relieve Landlords of the day to day pressure of managing their property, be it an individual investment or a larger portfolio. Nigel Deekes - Partner. FNAEA DEA

Introduction

Born and raised in Four Oaks and having served the community from our Four Oaks Office for the past 30 years since founding Acres, I and my long established, mature team have an in depth real knowledge of the local area and people desires for moving.

Acres ethos is to look after our clients comprehensively, seek the best price, the best buyer and to ensure sales, or letting progress smoothly whilst understanding the particular details of every transaction.

Lisa Brown - Mortgage Advisor

Lisa has worked in the Accountancy and Finance industry for over twenty years within multiple, well-established Companies. She holds her certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) 1,2 and 3 and a BA Hons degree in Accountancy and Business Law. Lisa has experience in this role since January 2018 and has gained valuable experience.

Liz Merrington - Office Manager

Liz joined Acres in 2007 and is based exclusively at our Four Oaks office, dealing with all aspects of the sales process for both vendors and purchasers from providing expert market appraisals and knowledge through to her dynamic sales ability to achieve the best possible price for our clients.

Linda joined Acres from its inception in 1992, leaving for a time when her family was moved" down south", she returned to the fold following the shortest interview in Acres history, given her renowned professionalism and personal service. Linda has a wealth of experience and understanding of the market in Four Oaks.

Jayne Deekes - Partner

Jayne commenced her Estate Agency career at the age of 18, joining a local independent Estate Agency where she progressed her career within over the next 12 years, gaining an in depth knowledge of all aspects of Agency. After starting a family with Nigel, Acres other partner, Jayne returned to the property profession within the surveying field, working for a local independent RICS surveying practice. As a partner of Acres Estate Agents, Jayne is based at the Four Oaks office, dealing with transactions for both vendors and purchasers.

Sarah Bennett - Administrator Four Oaks Office

I joined Acres around 15 years ago (taking a break from time to time to have a family) , and love my job, the people I work with and dealing with the general public. As a bright, bubbly, outgoing person the contact I have with clients is key. As an Administrator, a large part of my role is to ensure client's sales details, advert and sales confirmation is right. Working in a very busy office with a great team means the days fly by.

Lorraine Short - Sales Progressor

Over the past 30 years I have working for both a multinational agency for many years, associated businesses and of course Acres independent estate agents. I love the approach that Acres being a proactive independent brings to both their marketing, and family feel within the company. My role as contract liaison person means I speak to my buyers, sellers, and solicitors on a daily basis helping clients achieve their dream move, whilst helping smooth the path, where needed. On a personal note I have been married for 26 years with a grown up family, I enjoy reading, socialising of course and meeting new people which is where this role is perfect for me.

Chris Harvey - Senior Instructions Manager

Chris was destined to go into estate agency, with both his parents having worked in the industry for the majority of their working life, Chris inherited an urge to sell properties. From working at his family run estate agency part time during school holidays and weekends, Chris then worked in finance until joining his family run estate agents in 2011. In the 10 years spent selling properties in Wolverhampton and enjoying much success in Wolverhampton and had appeared in 40 episodes of BBC's Homes Under the Hammer on properties he had resold. Chris decided to leave the Midlands for a sunnier climate in Dubai and spent 2 years as a real estate broker selling apartments, villas and mansions to buyers from all over the globe. When returning to the UK, Chris joined a corporate estate agents in Lichfield. With an experience of a local run family estate agents/UK corporate estate agents/International real estate brokerage Chris is able to use his knowledge and help to guide any of his clients during the sales or purchase process. In Chris' spare time he enjoys socialising with friends and family as well as a keen gym goer.
