For days out with the family, Black Dam Ponds are close by offering nature trails for walks around the ponds, and birdwatching. There is something for everyone at Basingstoke Leisure Park which includes a cinema and opportunities for ice skating and bowling.  Marwell Zoo can be found a little further afield near Winchester which is well worth a visit, and the acres of open space in The New Forest National Park are a great place to visit and explore.
