    Our dedicated Lettings team is led by George Thornton, an experienced, ARLA qualified agent with a customer focused approach and a desire to go above and beyond for everyone he encounters.

    George boasts over a decade of experience in Lettings alone covering all of Bournemouth and Christchurch. George is personable and very knowledgeable in his chosen field and can successfully manage the entire Lettings process for you including free landlord Lettings valuations, a tenant find service, bespoke marketing, comprehensive referencing, specialist inventories, deposit protection, gas safety certificates, energy performance certificates (EPC), and rent protection.

    Outside of work, George enjoys renovation projects, and spending quality time with his wife and son. He also enjoys playing as much sport as possible, having represented his home county in several different arenas as a young adult.

    William Gollop, Digital Marketing Manager
    William joined our team last year, fresh out of college, and took charge of our social media operations, marking the beginning of his professional journey. Since then, he has not only played a pivotal role in expanding our business but has also been actively broadening his expertise in the field of lettings alongside George (Thornton, Lettings Manager). 

    Outside of work, William has a diverse range of interests. He enjoys hitting the gym to stay fit, teeing off on the golf course, and indulging in video games during his leisure time.

      Some good ideas for buyers
      1. Speak with your mortgage consultant to arrange the best loan to suit your needs.

      Prepare a short list of locations that suit your lifestyle. Keep in mind affordability and accommodation requirements.

      Research sales in those preferred areas using The Dorset Echo, The Dorset Magazine and Rightmove House Prices. Ask for local knowledge. Inspect every property in your preferred area so you have a feel for the price

      4. Develop a relationship with one of our Property Consultants here at Meyers Estate Agents specialising in your personal property search. The agent will be able to offer additional advice and also alert you to new listings before they reach the media.

      5.
      When you find a property that suits your requirements, ask your agent to send a copy of the memo of sale contracts to your solicitor or conveyancer.

      6.
      We recommend that you arrange a Home Buyers Survey to make you aware of any major defects and pest concerns eg: wood boring insects, damp.

      7.
      Following your solicitors or conveyancers advice on the sale contract and taking into consideration the building and pest reports, you are now able to make an informed decision to proceed with an exchange on the property and arrange moving dates through the legal teams. Exchange usually happens about a week or two before completion.

      If you are bidding at an auction, we recommend you read the Office of Fair Trading's "Bidder's Guide" before you attend any auction.

      9. Set up an early call on completion day to your solicitor and request that your case is completed as soon as possible so that you don't have a long drawn out day.

      10. On completion day, your solicitor or conveyancer may request that you pick the keys up from the Estate Agents office. This is to ensure that the property clear and ready for you to move into when the previous owner has departed from the property.

      After graduating from the Arts University Bournemouth in 2016, Fraser travelled the world, building businesses and teaching, until returning to his hometown of Southbourne and finding his calling in estate agency.       Prior to joining the Meyers Southbourne & Christchurch team, Valentine worked in the financial industry for well over a decade. Having worked in the leadership team for a large corporate bank where customers are often seen as just a number, Valentine wanted to move away from the corporate world into a more rewarding role where customers are local, and the aim is to deliver a first-class, personal yet professional experience. 

      Outside of work, Valentine spends most of her time running around after her two little boys. When time allows, Valentine loves nothing more than spending quality time, making memories, with family and friends.
