Deepest Didsbury has so much to offer

The River Mersey forms the southern boundary of the town of Didsbury, which lies just four miles from Manchester city centre and is a lively city offering many attractions for families, couples and singles. Property in Didsbury is interesting and wide-ranging, with some of the architecture dating back to the prosperous Victorian era. Family homes such as new-build detached and semi-detached are in abundance, as are terraces and apartment conversions, all attracting an equally diverse budget range. The town enjoys a relatively affluent economy and Didsbury is considered to represent the stockbroker belt of the city of Manchester. Much of the available property reflects this, and the prices are accordingly at the top end of the UK market for many of the larger properties.

Conserving the past in Didsbury

The Didsbury village area along Wilmslow Road has developed into a cosmopolitan cafe haven over the years and is home to many interesting restaurants, wine bars and independent shops. Providing an interesting insight into the town's earliest roots, the original site of the village is a conservation area lying about half a mile from the centre and giving the town a unique, unspoilt charm. It's an ideal spot for an afternoon of shopping, relaxing and learning a little about the local heritage.

An excellent inter-city hub

Didsbury is close to Junction 5 of Manchester's ring road and lies off the M60 motorway. Good rail links and an excellent bus service are in operation and for air travellers Manchester Airport is just four miles to the south of the town. This is a very much a 'des res' area, and fortunately the wide range of properties certainly offer something for everyone, with property generally available in most budget brackets. Good transport links to Manchester and the south make it a very attractive proposition for commuters, as well as being an ideal place to settle into family life. Football fans have the choice of two highly competitive teams that are the cream of the Premier League and have achieved legendary status!
