Set in the charming courtyard of a Georgian farmhouse in the rural heart of the South Downs National Park, and yet within easy reach of many exciting places to visit and activities to enjoy, Lavender Cottage is the perfect base for a wonderful Hampshire and Sussex holiday.

Blendworth Farmhouse is a traditional Georgian farmhouse, originally a tenant farm on the local Idsworth estate, which borders Hampshire and West Sussex. It is in the South Downs National Park. Sally and Richard (Dix) Lang have lived here for thirty years and know the area like the backs of their hands. Over their time here they have gradually restored all the barns and outbuildings from dereliction, and Lavender Cottage is their most recent project. It was a foaling box originally!

The hamlet of Blendworth has an ancient history which goes back to Saxon times. Sally and Dix would love you to have a wonderful time either exploring this part of Hampshire/West Sussex or just enjoying a restful few days in the cottage.

Only 1 hrs from London, a few minutes from the A3 and 20 minutes from Portsmouth, the cottage has easy access to the market town of Petersfield to the North, the ancient city of Chichester to the East and the historic maritime city of Portsmouth to the South. Winchester is about half an hour away.

The beautiful beaches along this part of the south coast are easily accessible.
