Description

The Stables is a charming single storey barn conversion hidden away in a truly idyllic, rural setting off the courtyard at the historic Cleeve Prior Manor.  In the local Blue Lias Stone, The Stables enjoys gardens to the front, with wonderful views facing a 13th century Dovecote and open countryside. To the rear is a good sized, fully enclosed garden and a stone built double garage.

A private drive sweeps past meadows to an impressive courtyard, the setting is extraordinarily beautiful with a small collection of period homes including of course The Manor itself, hidden behind age old greenery. The feeling here is one of peace, tranquillity and period charm.

Home sweet home!

Across one level, in brief The Stables offers, three bedrooms, living room, conservatory, dining room, kitchen, separate W.C. and family bathroom. There is a wealth of period features including exposed stone walls in Blue Lias and fabulous ceiling height with exposed beams throughout.

The frontage to the property is picture pretty with flowers and shrubs, mostly paved to provide a peaceful spot to sit and gaze upon the idyllic views.

The Stables offers a well-balanced floor-plan that flows with living to one side and bedrooms to the other.

An enclosed porch takes you into the dining room with doors to the conservatory, a lovely spot to sit rain or shine, and bringing in a flood of light, with access directly out to the garden.

To the side of the dining room is a good sized and well-equipped kitchen with an array of base and wall units and plenty of workspace. A serving hatch to the dining room adds a touch of period convenience.

The hall continues to the living room, a super room that emanates warmth and charm with its exposed beams, again the richness of the exposed Blue Lias Stone walls and high ceilings into the rafters, attractive chimney and fireplace with brick surround. Lots of light with windows and double doors opening onto the garden.

To the other side of the dining room the hallway leads to two double bedrooms, one with a shower, a single bedroom currently used as a sitting room, W.C. and the family bathroom. Again we see a wealth of character throughout the bedrooms.

GARDENS

Double doors from both the living room and conservatory open onto a lawned garden with paved areas ideal for garden entertaining. The garden is fully enclosed offering privacy to enjoy the complete peace and quiet.

At the end of the garden is a double garage accessed from the driveway and from the garden. Making this a fabulous space possibly for conversion to an office/studio/workshop.
