Greenock is a town in Inverclyde located 26 miles West of Glasgow. The town is the administrative centre of Inverclyde Council and forms part of a contiguous urban area with Gourock to the West and Port Glasgow to the East.

Greenock has a population of c.41,000 with 10 primary schools, three high schools and a large college. There is also a large commercial area mainly located around the regenerated waterfront area.

There are numerous rail and roads linking it to the nearest city Glasgow and beyond.
