Description

Since the creation of the town square a few years ago, Crediton now has a hub. With its general use tables and regular farmers market, plus annual events, it’s a great place to meet. There are a number of shops and cafes adjoining the square and it also provides an open and pretty outlook for many of the surrounding properties – including this one.

Number 4 is located on the corner of North Street and Parliament Street. Set over 3 floors (plus a basement), pretty much all of its windows overlook the town square to the front. The property has double glazing and central heating and some of the rooms have been replastered. It is in need of a general update but this appears to be superficial. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with high ceilings and a large window, and to the rear is the access to the rear courtyard. Stairs lead down to the useful basement which has limited head height but is great for storage. The bathroom is also on the ground floor. The whole of the first floor is the living room with two windows overlooking the square. Up again are the two bedrooms, again with the views to the front.

Outside: There is a small shared courtyard with a side access to the street (to save having to go through the house to get to the rear) plus a store shed (2nd from right).

There is no allocated parking with the property but there is on street parking locally or an annual pass can be purchased for the town car park.

Please see the floorplan for room sizes.

CREDITON : An ancient market town, with a contemporary feel – only a short, 20-minute drive NW from the city of Exeter. Set in the Vale of the River Creedy, amongst gentle, rolling hills and verdant pastures. Sincerely picture postcard. Once the capital of Devon, Crediton is famed for its inspiring sandstone church and for being the birthplace of Saint Boniface in 680 AD. Its high street is a vibrant place, abuzz with trade –artisan coffee shops, roaring pubs, a farmers’ market and bakeries, jam-packed with mouthwatering delights. For those commuting it has hassle free transport links into Exeter and for schooling a prestigious community college (Queen Elizabeth’s) – with an Ofsted “outstanding” sixth form. In addition, it boasts a brilliant gym & leisure centre for New Year’s resolutions, two supermarkets for the weekly shop and a trading estate for any practical needs. All neatly held in a single valley.
