Property in France could offer the ideal destination for a break for people in their 30s or 40s looking to get away with their parents in tow.
Saga Group head of communications Paul Green says that Europe is a perennial favourite among groups of related grown-ups when heading abroad.
Property in France could provide access to some of the attractions that he lists as being part of the ideal getaway – with islands such as Malta and St Lucia also sharing these characteristics.
"You can go down to the beach and enjoy that if you want, or you can enjoy a bit of history or culture," Mr Green says.
He adds: "You can be sure that there is something for everyone to do; those holidays do exist."
Mr Green concludes that, while many people spend their youth trying to avoid their parents, when they reach middle age they often decide that spending some time together could prove enjoyable.
