Air France may offer greenest route to property in FranceEco-conscious holidaymakers could find that flying to property in France with the nation's own airline Air France satisfies their sustainability desires.

The airline operates from its transport hub at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, with routes to 183 global destinations.

In all, 1,500 flights carry the company's logo every day, landing in almost 100 different countries.

Now it is celebrating after being named the market leader for sustainability in an index from Dow Jones.

As well as being listed as the most sustainable air transport operator for the sixth consecutive year, Air France has now topped the more general transport and leisure table.

The findings could reassure anyone concerned about jetting off to property in France without being certain of their impact on the environment.

"We will continue to be the benchmark for sustainable development in our industry, an ambition which measures up to the important place we occupy in the global air transport industry," says Pierre-Henri Gourgeon, chief executive officer of Air France-KLM.
