While sun-lovers may be bemoaning the end of summer, winter sports enthusiasts are likely to be looking forward to their first flight out to property in France and other European ski destinations.
Stansted Airport has announced new routes for the colder months, including an expanded easyJet service that could make property in France a little easier to reach.
The service is due to fly out to Nice every day in October, with the exception of Tuesdays throughout the month.
From November onwards, flights from London Stansted to Nice with easyJet are scheduled for Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The current itinerary also includes services on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve, although no flights are planned for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Nick Barton, commercial and development director at the airport, says: "It's encouraging to see our airline partners introducing new routes and extra flights, giving passengers even greater choice when deciding where they might want to head away to this winter."
