Shuttle buses and extra TGV services make property in France's Maurienne resorts easier to reach this coming ski seasonReaching property in France's ski resorts this winter could be a little easier thanks to shuttle bus transfers from mainline train stations.

The French Government Tourist Office has issued timetables to travellers to help them be aware of when they can expect to catch a forwarding link to their destination.

People headed to property in France's resorts of Saint-Francois Longchamp, Les Sybelles, Valloire, Valmeinier, Orelle and Val Cenis Vanoise must request transport in advance.

However, a regular timetabled service operates from Lyon Airport to Saint-Avre, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne and Modane.

A total of three shuttle buses are scheduled, with the third able to wait an extra 30 minutes for late arrivals.

Departures are Saturdays only between December 18th 2010 and April 23rd 2011 at 12:30, 16:30 and 22:45 local time.

In previous years, the high-speed TGV rail link from Lille to stations in the Maurienne region has also seen extra traffic scheduled in order to cater for ski tourists.
