With the depressed jobs market in the UK seeing some graduates left out of work after leaving university, they may consider heading to property in France.
Teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) is a training course offered by providers like i-to-i, which reports a five per cent rise in graduate enrolments to its programmes.
According to i-to-i, the Higher Education Careers Service Unit saw almost nine per cent of 2009 graduates out of work six months later.
The training provider suggests taking a TEFL course and heading overseas to help people there learn to speak English.
While it lists destinations such as Korea or Thailand, property in France may be a popular alternative for people who don't want to stray too far from home.
Demand for TEFL services is substantial around the globe, says i-to-i, with an estimated one billion people currently learning English as a second or non-native language.
