A trip to property in France in order to enjoy some winter sports could be a budget-friendly option regardless of how much Britons have available to spend.
Tourism development agency ATOUT FRANCE notes how the landscape of the country makes property in France popular for winter sports enthusiasts in a number of different regions.
A spokesman says: "With its high mountains and excellent snow cover, France has always benefited from its natural characteristics."
He also points out that there are ways to become involved with winter sports in France, without taking directly to the slopes.
For instance, there are a variety of X-Games and similar spectator events that take place across the country.
Skiers and snowboarders keen to take to the slopes themselves face an enviable list of options ranging from Chamonix, Meribel, Courchevel, Morzine and Val Thorens to lower-budget alternatives like La Plagne, Les Arcs, Alpe d'Huez and La Rosiere.
