More people are choosing to reach property in France and other European destinations by private jet as a luxurious way to travel, reports charter service PrivateFly.
Over the past six months, 60 per cent more enquiries have been received by the company compared with the same period of 2009.
While it may sound like an expensive way to reach property in France, marketing director Carol Cork explains that groups can actually share the expense well.
"The cost of the aircraft is the same, whether there is one person in the aircraft or you fill the seats and share the cost," she says.
Driving forces behind the trend include people wanting to maximise the amount of time they spend at their destination, rather than on the journey, PrivateFly says.
With private jets typically charged by the mile, the short hop to the continent could be one of the most cost-effective ways to try living the jet set lifestyle.
