I contacted haart, having looked for Estate Agents in Lincoln on the internet; Stephine was the first agent I spoke with and to be honest I was feeling very out of my depth; I live in Essex and I want to buy around Lincoln and I don't know the area or property prices. Stephine was quick to assure that she could help me with a search and I felt a sense of confidence straight away that she knew what she was talking about, and in a very friendly way. Stephine established my budget, and we began talking about areas, property prices, my preferences. I guess you can say that this is Stephine's role so that is what she should be doing, but I feel that she should be complimented on her enthusiastic and realistic attitude; I say this after having spoken with other agents this week.I have contacted Stephine several times by phone and by email and have received constructive, sensible guidance. I feel like I am in safe hands with Stephine; she has been extremely proactive in sending me property through and then discussing the merits of each one as well as being honest about any downside. She has organised viewings for me and had to spend time juggling this around with staff and vendors because I had booked other viewings at the same time. We were met promptly by a lovely gentleman by the name of Douglas who showed us around two properties on the complex. Both properties were to a very high standard and to be honest they would sell themselves. However, Douglas went above and beyond what we expected from him, we are not from the area and he went into great detail on; the area and, what it had to offer, how the complex worked, advice on moorings. He even took us around the back of the complex to show us the recreational area and the overflow area in case of floods. These are just a few of the things that he advised us on and the information that he gave us in the time that we were with him was fantastic. Douglas is an asset to your company and although we have decided to postpone our move, it is something we will be doing in the next few years and we will definitely be back in touch to see what haart and Douglas has to offer at that time.

Offer accepted, we began discussions with Christie. There were many hurdles to overcome, particularly as the vendor was reluctant to sell the property. Christie always responded to my queries in a timely manner and provided holding responses when seeking information. The purchase was very protracted due to the vendor and I know Christie was becoming increasingly exasperated by the lack of response to her many calls. Eventually we withdrew from the purchase due to problems with the vendor, but I cannot praise Christie enough. I was sad that our next choice of property was with an alternative agent. I felt so confident in Christie I think it clouded my dealings with the new agent. I feel that she is incredibly competent and a brilliant negotiator, trying to keep two parties happy through difficult proceedings. All the delays were at the hands of the vendor but Christie was brilliant and resolute throughout the process. I would have happily and confidently entered into a purchase with Christie at the helm.

From the initial viewing through to completion, I was impressed with haart and found them easy to deal with. When Douglas showed me around the property, he immediately stood out in terms of his knowledge of the property and the market and made the viewing by far the most rewarding out of the 5 that I attended with a variety of companies. I found both Sarah and Christie to be friendly, responsive and helpful and with their help we were able to complete an outright purchase inside a month. I'm very pleased, and I don't see any of the other companies I dealt with being as efficient or providing me with as good a service. I'd certainly deal with haart again, whether selling or buying.
