I chose Chestnut Solutions to sell my house because they seemed refreshingly different from other more established estate agents. Richard has lots of experience selling houses and is very good at listening to what the client wants and tailoring his advice and expertise to suit the individual. Chestnut Solutions try harder and are more efficient than other estate agents I've used in the past. (I've moved house lots of times). My sister and husband had lived in their house in a village outside York for 35 years when we persuaded them to move nearer to us in Sheffield in order that we could support them as both had health problems. This was very daunting for both of them but when my sister met Richard Bray when he came to value their house, her gut instinct told her Richard was the person to see them through the selling process. She explained to him that they would need a lot of support as it was so long since they had sold a house and they were very nervous about doing it. My sister's instincts proved to be spot on as Richard was wonderful from the beginning to the end of the sale. I was also heavily involved in the process and Richard communicated with us all throughout. His valuation of the property was spot on due to his knowledge of property values in the surrounding area. The supporting literature that he produced did much to promote the property. He recommended a very good solicitor and liased with him at all times during the sale. Richard showed such kindness and care towards us all, going out of his way to reassure us through the stressful times and making himself available when we needed reassurance, he always returned our calls the same day often after office hours. He was in constant contact with the buyers and their solicitors and also the buyers further down the chain which enabled the sale to go through quickly and smoothly.Not only did Richard support us with the sale but when my sister and husband found a property in Sheffield he offered to negotiated with the estate agent there. It was due to Richard's excellent negotiating skills that my sister and husband bought their new property at a very reasonable price. The estate agent here in Sheffield was very impressed with him and said we were very lucky to have such a wonderful estate agent.When we contracted Richard to sell my sister's property it became obvious that he was good at his job and had an extensive knowledge of property values throughout the area of York. It was also clearly evident that he loved his work and that he felt he had a moral and ethical duty to do the best for his clients.
